I'm struggling to find words on how to describe the dining experience at Vue de Monde, Melbourne. Just everything is so perfectly organised, including the set up of the table, the changing of the rocks depending on the course and the service you receive from the waiters. I guess that's what should be expected, when dining at one of Melbourne's top restaurants.

The location of Vue de Monde is just superb, as it's able to boast a panoramic 360 degree view of Melbourne's city skyline. Opting for the 6 course degustation was a good choice, as we were introduced to so many different dishes I have never had before. Ranging from duck tongue to lamb hearts, once you get over the idea that you're eating a heart, the taste is just unbelievable.

Dining at Vue de Monde was a unique experience that made food fun. We were able to crush our own flowers, (once drained with liquid nitrogen), to mix with a cucumber sorbet. This provided a palette cleanser, which allowed us to enjoy the food more. The table had pebbles and stones placed on it, which were moved around depending on the course. At first it looked like table decor, but we slowly found that the rocks had different purposes, sometimes a knife holder and sometimes a plate for a dish.
